Berkeley Jet Pump Identification Guide

Berkeley 12JC, JG, and JR Model Pumps

The Berkeley 12JC and 12JG pumps are nearly identical. The only real difference is the the 12JG has a split (two-piece) bowl while the 12JC has a one-piece bowl. The 12JR is an upgraded 12JG, used in racing applications and is typically double drilled on the bowl and nozzle housing mounts. the JR also typically uses a performance trim nozzle rather than the factory Berkeley Nozzle. The factory Berkeley 12JC / JG Nozzle is no longer made and all new Berkeley pumps ship with a Place Diverter Trim Nozzle as factory standard. Check the photos below to see what a few different 12 JC / JG / JR applications look like.

Berkeley 12JE and JF Model Pumps

The Berkeley 12JE and 12JF pumps are nearly identical. The only real difference is the the 12JF has a unique trim nozzle while the 12JE has a standard nozzle. The factory Berkeley 12JE and JF Nozzles are no longer made and all new Berkeley pumps ship with a Place Diverter Trim Nozzle as factory standard with new 12JE pumps. The 12JF Model pump is deprecated as new 12JE model perform the same trim function the 12JF was designed for. A factory JF pump will have three cables coming from the side of the pump while a factory JE will only have two. Check the photos below to see what a few different 12 JE / JF applications look like.
